Welcome to WA's awesome MTB event, the Dwellingup 100 MTB Classic.

After the huge success of the inaugural Dwellingup 100, TriEvents and the Perth Mountain Bike Club are proud to announce that the 2010 Dwellingup 100 MTB Classic will be held on Saturday 18 September.

We want to make this year’s event even more enjoyable and memorable than last year's. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive but we are not resting this. We are working hard to improve on those little things that you, the competitor wanted improved upon.

As anyone who rode last year already knows, the Dwellingup 14, 40 and 100 events are all about the competitor, every one from complete novice, Mum, Dad and Kids, to the Elite Competitors. We want every one to feel welcome and feel like there is a distance for them to challenge them selves at. While, at the same time enjoy the fantastic atmosphere and camaraderie that exists in West Australian Mountain Biking.

On top of that this year’s event has been given championship status by PMBC and MTBA and will be “The West Australian Marathon Championships”. This won’t affect the event at all, and frankly won’t mean much to most competitors. How ever it may mean a lot to the Elite riders like Jon Gregg and Stephanie Russell who can compete on the East Coast or in the National Championships as the ”West Australian Marathon Champion”

We are planning to update our website with monthly news, so keep checking the site for further information. We are looking forward to seeing you again at Western Australia’s best run and only 100km non stop MTB event.

Ride for someone who can't!

The Muscular Dystrophy Association of WA's ' Ride for someone who can't' challenge is now well under way and has had an overwhelming response from riders and sponsors in the mountain bike community.

The Muscular Dystrophy (MD) team is made up of riders that are either associated with the MD Association or have heard about the team through friends, family or the website. Each team member will ride for someone who is living with muscular dystrophy and fundraise for MD Association.

The Funds raised from this initiative will support the many people living with muscular dystrophy in WA and also provide support to fund research.

As of Wednesday 1st September the Muscular Dystrophy Association of WA has raised an amazing $29,985 for their cause.
