Alcoa

The Peel region became a global ‘centre of excellence’ for the alumina industry, following the opening of our Peel Regional Office in 2008.

The region is also home to our Pinjarra and Wagerup alumina refineries, as well as the Willowdale and Huntly bauxite mines, so we thought it made good business sense to bring our essential support services closer to our operations.

Kalamunda Cycles

Kalamunda Cycles has been a fixture in the hills since being established in the early 1980s by cycling legend Steele Bishop. After changing hands a couple of times, the store was taken over by well-known athletes Tim and Jo Bennett in December 2004.

Since then, the store has gone from strength to strength, providing sound advice and excellent mechanical support on a wide range of products. Catering for both the serious and recreational athlete, Kalamunda Cycles has something for everyone –Mountain Bikes, Road Bikes, Triathlon specific Bikes, kid’s bikes, BMX, hybrids – along with an extensive range of accessories.

Munda Biddi Trail

The Munda Biddi Trail (which means path through the forest in the Nyoongar Aboriginal language) is fast becoming a world-class, nature-based, off-road cycling experience.

Starting in Mundaring the Trail meanders through scenic river valleys and the magnificent eucalypt forests of the State’s South West. It utilises a network of bush tracks, firebreaks and disused railway formations and has sections suitable for cyclists of all ages and experience levels. Situated a comfortable day’s ride apart are purpose-built Munda Biddi campsites with roomy camp huts and tent sites.
