Road closures & parking
Event parking will be available on the surrounds of the Dwellingup Football Oval for a gold coin donation, proceeds to Muscular Dystrophy WA.
Participants and spectators should take into account the road closures to allow the safe start and conduct of all races as per the scheduled start time for each event.
Overflow parking will be available on the Dwellingup Primary School grounds via Forrest View Rd off McLarty St.
To ensure the safety of riders and motorists alike, the Dwellingup 100 requires temporary road closures around the Dwellingup Town Oval. The following road closures will be in place temporarily throughout the day;
McLarty St (Pinjarra-Williams Rd) – at Moore St: temporarily at various short times during the morning for start of races.
McLarty St (Pinjarra-Williams Rd) – at Church St: temporarily at various short times during the afternoon for the finish of races.
Newton St – from Church St to Marrinup St – temporarily at various times during the day to allow runners back into town.
Church St, Forrest St, Marrinup St – from Newton St to Newton St: from 11am to 3pm, to allow runners back into town. Local traffic will have managed access as required.
In order for the Dwellingup 100 MTBC to go ahead, the following compliance has been undertaken.
Local government: venue (Dwellingup Town oval) booked with Shire of Murray and health permits received
Insurance: organisation of event covered by Muscular Dystrophy WA’s insurances
Sanction: event sanctioned by Mountain Bike Australia and MTBA event insurance
Parks & Wildlife: event is in a reserve park, Dept Parks and Wildlife permit received
Dept of Water: event is on Dept Water land, permit received
Police: traffic management plan and exemption from traffic regs (riders able to ride more than 2 abreast) approved by Shire and Police
Medical support: medical support provided by St John Ambulance, advice of event conveyed to Fiona Stanley and Peel District Hospitals
Government agencies: advice of event conveyed to DFES, course approved by Dept Water & PaWL
Risk management: event risk management plan endorsed by Health Dept and accepted by Shire of Murray and Tourism WA
